Job summary

Datavant seeks a Head of Science Operations to partner with the CSO and Science leadership. You will coordinate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to translate the Science Team vision into clear priorities and impactful outcomes for Datavant’s Life Sciences business.

The role requires combining scientific depth with strong organization and strategic thinking, and the ability to independently conceive and implement solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related field.
• Ability to exercise scientific judgment and leadership across multiple functions.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
• Experience managing complex initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Science Team strategy and priority setting with CSO and leadership.
• Translate priorities into plans, milestones, ownership, and success metrics.
• Manage Science Leadership Team meetings, agendas, decisions and actions.
• Propose resourcing for Leadership Team and address cross-functional risks.
• Communicate decisions and priorities across the Science organization.
• Develop integrated views of services delivery, product science support, and client outcomes.
• Coordinate input for commercial strategy and product roadmap prioritization.
• Identify performance risks and develop options with Science leaders.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial on pipeline forecasts and capacity models.
• Lead change initiatives and support budget management for Science.
• Prepare leadership presentations, updates, and CSO decision documents.
