Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Washington seeks an Operations Manager to supervise the local operations team handling student records, testing, attendance, and facilities management. You will ensure compliance with state laws and sponsor requirements while coordinating with the Accel team to implement efficient school procedures.

The role requires strong leadership, confidentiality, and collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in a school setting is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the local operations team and supervise student records, testing, attendance, and facilities management.
• Act as a liaison between school staff and Accel to align procedures with organizational goals.
• Develop, document, and archive operational workflows to implement school policies.
• Stay updated on Department of Education policies and compliance items.
• Manage all student information per state and federal law; coordinate with external vendors as needed.
• Audit current procedures and identify opportunities for improvement; support leadership decisions.
