Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Operations Manager for the Virtual Prep Academy of Washington. The role supervises the local operations team, ensuring compliance with state laws and sponsor policies while coordinating with ACCEL leadership to implement efficient procedures.

You will manage student records, attendance, testing, and vendor communications, while contributing to a collaborative leadership team and maintaining strong, confidential information practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Strong spreadsheet skills with basic/intermediate formulas.
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred.
• Experience managing compliance with laws and regulations.
• Experience creating and documenting procedures and workflows.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrates reliable work ethic.
• Demonstrated leadership and management ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee school operations functions including student records, testing, attendance tracking, and facilities management.
• Act as a resource for staff, students, and families to resolve escalated needs.
• Coordinate with ACCEL team to align procedures with organizational goals.
• Serve on the school leadership team and document workflows.
• Audit procedures and identify opportunities to streamline operations.
• Stay updated on education policies and compliance.
• Manage all student information per laws.
• Coordinate communications with external vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
