Job summary

Salesforce Professional Services in Maryland seeks a Technical Architect to act as a strategic advisor and Salesforce platform expert for the public sector.

The role blends presales and delivery leadership, shaping engagements, guiding architecture, and mentoring teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will partner with Delivery Managers and clients to manage risk, set program direction, and drive value across large federal programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years enterprise architecture or consulting on the Salesforce Platform (Core Sales/Services) within Public Sector.
• Strong application design, data, integration, and security architecture skills.
• Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences.
• Thorough individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials for the audience.
• A great listener with the ability to connect with people in diverse roles.
• Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
• Background check and U.S. Government security clearance eligibility; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the client.
• Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the consulting practice; contribute to knowledge base and expertise.
• Guide customers and colleagues in deploying emerging technologies to drive business value.
• Work collaboratively with strong communication to teach complex concepts and prescriptive thinking.
• Identify and proactively manage risk areas and see issues through to resolution.
• Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions with customers and third-party partners.
• Review and correct project direction, approach, and artifacts to keep programs on track and maintainable.
• Work with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions.
• Contribute to a program vision and advise on Salesforce Platform strategies.
