Job summary

Southland Industries, Inc. is seeking a safety leader to manage and coordinate the safety team across field and facility operations. The role ensures compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA and DOT standards while driving proactive health and safety initiatives.

You will conduct audits, prepare management reports, and provide coaching on safety processes. The position includes competitive benefits and an employee-owned structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline required.
• 5 years’ experience in Safety, including lead experience.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates safety activities for the assigned safety team to ensure safety requirements are met in the field/facilities.
• Conducts safety audits and inspections and recommends corrections for regulatory compliance.
• Develops reports and presentations for safety briefings with company management.
• Provides strategic direction to improve Environmental, Health and Safety performance.
• Implements safety policies and ensures compliance across locations.
