Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety leader to plan, develop, and manage corporate EH&S programs for the assigned division. This role drives a safety-focused culture across multiple states and locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and proactive risk management.

You will oversee audits, training, policy development, and reporting while leading a team and guiding safety initiatives that minimize liabilities and protect employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in EH&S including, people management experience.
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, OSHA 40hr training, preferred.
• OSHA 500, CHST or ASP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage corporate EH&S programs for the division.
• Lead safety audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Develop safety training programs and maintain records.
• Produce safety reports and presentations for management.
• Provide strategic direction to minimize risk and liabilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety manuals and policies across locations.
• Coach and develop safety staff and participate in performance reviews.
• Oversee recruitment and hiring for safety roles.
