Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to lead safety, health, and risk prevention across manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing, and production. You will drive OSHA compliance, champion hazard reduction, and advance operational excellence through engineering controls and continuous improvement.

You will partner with engineering, operations, fleet, and leadership to integrate safety into processes, plant start-ups, layouts, and material flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, EHS, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or warehouse environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations and safety practices.
• Experience with engineering controls, machine guarding, LOTO, forklifts, and safety processes.
• Experience supporting facility start-ups, operational improvements, or process design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing and fabrication safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure OSHA General Industry compliance and company requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Participate in incident investigations, corrective actions, and trend analysis.
• Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
