Job summary

Dollar General seeks an experienced Area Leader to plan and direct all stores within a defined region, with full profit and loss responsibility and alignment to company goals. You will lead store teams, drive sales growth, and ensure strong customer service across locations.

Candidates should have 4+ years in multi-unit retail management, preferably with a Bachelor's degree; strong financial, planning, and people leadership skills are essential. Travel within the area is expected.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management with multi-unit responsibility and full P&L.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Proven ability to lead teams and achieve performance goals.
• Strong financial acumen to interpret statements and budgets.
• Capability to manage inventory, scheduling and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities of all stores in the area with P&L ownership.
• Foster Dollar General's mission, values, and customer service.
• Drive area sales growth and efficient flow processes.
• Ensure proper use of tools for inventory presentation and control.
• Plan and execute company objectives; optimize scheduling.
• Recruit, train, and develop employees; manage real estate viable candidates.
• Protect company assets via loss prevention and expense control.
• Identify new business opportunities within the area and communicate priorities.
