Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Hartford, CT, seeks a motivated Technical Specialist for the Strategic Resolution Group to handle complex toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct and environmental claims with significant financial exposure.

Under supervision, you will develop strategies to resolve claims efficiently, conduct coverage and liability analysis, manage litigation, and maintain compliant, well-documented files while supporting clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in claim handling, legal, insurance or environmental fields.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication and judgement abilities.
• Licensing may be required within three months of starting the job.
• Ability to manage complex coverage and liability issues with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coverage research and analysis for potential policies across legacy companies.
• Liability investigation and analysis to inform claim strategy.
• Litigation management including counsel engagement and settlements.
• Account management and regular coordination with stakeholders.
• Financial analysis and budgeting for claims exposures.
• Maintain well-documented claim files and SRG systems.
• Staff development, mentoring and potential training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
