Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Requisition Engineer to own material requisitions, engineering documentation, and WBS for New Unit Business projects. You’ll coordinate between Design Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure correct parts, timely procurement, and alignment with project deliverables.

The role emphasizes SAP-based numbering, ERP/PLM traceability, RFQ technical review, and cost estimation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, P&IDs, and specifications.
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, P&IDs to ensure requisitions capture correct part numbers and materials.
Create and maintain SAP part numbers with accurate descriptions; audit item master to remove duplicates.
Ensure revision traceability in ERP/PLM so procurement reflects latest configuration.
Develop WBS elements for NUB projects and align with schedules and milestones.
Draft purchase specifications and review RFQ responses for technical compliance and QA/QC requirements.
Create requisitions for materials/services during detail engineering and for warranties/installation needs.
Monitor MRP releases; drive lead-time visibility and continuous improvement in cycle times.
Support manufacturing with material planning, tooling, and PPAP/FAI documentation.
