Job summary

M Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is seeking a Requisition Engineer in Houston to own material requisitions, support engineering documentation, and develop WBS for NUB projects. You will interface with Design Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure correct part numbers, timely procurement, and alignment with project deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
Excellent organizational abilities with extreme attention to detail.
Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, BOMs, P&IDs to ensure requisitions have correct part numbers and materials.
Create SAP part numbers with accurate descriptions per SOP and audit item master.
Maintain revision traceability in ERP/PLM systems to reflect latest config.
Develop WBS elements for NUB projects and align with schedules and budgets.
Draft or refine purchase specs for raw materials and subassemblies.
Monitor MRP releases and develop SAP reports for shortage visibility.
Support manufacturing by provisioning materials, tooling, and MRO items.
Ensure QA/QC requirements are reflected in purchase requests.
