Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Buyer I to support procurement for engineered-to-order modular projects, including data centers and mechanical systems. You will source materials, manage supplier performance, and ensure contractual requirements are met within an MRP-driven environment.

You will maintain supplier communications, review quotations, and help resolve BOM discrepancies while supporting ongoing supplier qualification and risk management initiatives across projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of purchasing/expediting in a custom engineered manufacturing setup.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices, policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers from order placement to receipt to ensure quality and schedules.
• Develop and monitor supplier recovery plans for quality issues or delays.
• Inform TAS personnel about supplier risks and changes.
• Solicit and review supplier quotations.
• Support prequalification of potential suppliers.
• Reconcile BOMs to planned orders and POs; work with CM and Purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier PO promise dates and ERP receipt of materials.
