Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Houston is seeking a procurement professional to support New Unit Business packaging, CSB components and MRO items, handling RFQs, PO entry, supplier management, expediting and cost control.

You will work with IT, QA and other departments on continuous improvement and become the SME for assigned categories, ensuring on-time deliveries and accurate SAP data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field, or 7+ years of industrial buying experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in SAP MM and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Smartsheet and Tableau helpful.
• Strong procurement knowledge: terms, incoterms, UCC, and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs/RFPs with complete technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, changes, and negotiated outline agreements to support production.
• Monitor supplier performance with metrics on quality and on-time delivery.
• Expedite materials and resolve supplier issues including cost and invoicing.
