Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced procurement professional to support New Unit Business packaging, CSB components and MRO items. Responsibilities include RFQ, PO entry, supplier management, expediting, cost control and procurement reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in supply chain or related field, 7+ years industrial buying experience and strong SAP MM/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of industrial buying experience.
• Knowledge of PV&F, electrical components, fasteners and seals used in rotating equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in SAP MM and MS Office; familiar with Smartsheet and Tableau.
• Strong procurement knowledge: terms, Incoterms, UCC and market sourcing.
• Service-oriented with manufacturing and after-sales stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs and organize technical, commercial and quality requirements.
• Coordinate bid clarifications with engineering and commercial teams.
• Prepare sourcing evaluations and supplier recommendations for approval.
• Manage supplier performance with open orders and KPI reporting.
• Expedite materials to meet production and customer delivery dates.
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms; resolve supply issues and claims.
• Maintain SAP PO delivery dates for stakeholder visibility.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes.
