Job summary

Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union seeks a Regional Relationship Banker II to build and nurture member relationships across Michigan branches. You will promote and educate on financial products, cross-sell solutions, and guide members through accounts, loans, and related services.

The role involves in-person and remote/member interactions, with potential transition to a permanent branch placement after onboarding. Expect diverse daily tasks and a focus on exceptional member service.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of proactive sales experience in a banking/credit union environment opening accounts and taking loan applications.
• A high school degree or GED is required.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including Word and Outlook.
• Familiarity with financial products preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, rates, and percentages.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills with effective communication.
• Ability to be bonded and obtain notary designation.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a consultative interview process to identify opportunities and deliver financial solutions, including mortgage lending, opening and maintaining consumer accounts, processing loan applications, and other duties to deepen member relationships.
• Processes financial transactions, updates account information, and documents member interviews in the core system accurately.
• Researches issues and collaborates with internal departments to resolve concerns.
• Fosters cooperation and communication with Centralized Lending and Loan Processing staff to ensure seamless service and follow-up through loan closings.
• Performs department support duties including scanning, faxes, and daily reports.
• Complies with company policies, laws, and regulations including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
