Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Director of Development to lead Military PPV project development, partnering with senior leadership to manage cross-functional teams and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role oversees planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with Government Partners, Asset Management, and Construction teams, while reviewing design and cost decisions and driving value engineering. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in real estate asset or development management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate/Finance/Economics/Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Real Estate/Finance or Business Administration preferred.
• 4–6 years in Real Estate Asset or Development Management.
• Experience developing and managing operational budgets.
• Excellent time management and organization; ability to present at a high level.
• Proven management ability to direct, guide, motivate and develop staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven conclusions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Self-motivated, independent worker with attention to detail.
• Self-starter with project management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
• Ability to work under uneven workloads and tight deadlines.
• Driver's License (DL) valid in-state.

Responsibilities

• Performs contractual obligations of the project Developer for PPV projects.
• Implements development plans and oversight.
• Manages multiple projects to completion within schedule and budget.
• Prepares PRA plans and schedules; develops recapitalization plans with Asset Management.
• Oversees PPV Development and Construction Management activities with on-site teams.
• Obtains project approvals with Government Partners.
• Supervises on-site Development and coordinates with Asset Management.
• Reviews consultants’ work for compliance with project requirements.
• Develops preliminary project schedules; coordinates cost analysis and value engineering.
• Reviews construction contracts, scheduling, payments, and change orders.
• Monitors regulatory changes affecting operations.
• Leads team to stimulate growth and expansion of opportunities.
• Represents the Department at stakeholder meetings.
• Travel up to 25%.
