Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Director of Development to lead and manage Military PPV Projects, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development. This role focuses on coordinating development activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working with government partners to advance housing initiatives.

Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, and supervising development staff, with travel up to 25% as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Master's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in Real Estate Asset Management or Development Management required.
• Experience developing and managing operational budgets required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Self-motivated, independent worker with attention to detail and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs contractual obligations of the project Developer for PPV initiatives and related accounts.
• Implements development plans and oversight of development activities.
• Manages multiple projects to completion within schedule and budget.
• Prepares PRA project implementation plans and recapitalization strategies.
• Oversees Development and Construction Management activities in coordination with on-site teams.
• Obtains project approvals in collaboration with Government Partners.
• Supervises on-site development to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Reviews consultants’ deliverables for project requirements and cost considerations.
• Develops schedules, conducts cost analyses, and coordinates design decisions, bidding, and contracts.
• Leads team to stimulate growth and expansion; represents the Department at meetings when needed.
