Job summary

Hunt Military Communities seeks a Director of Development to serve as Project Developer and assist the Senior VP of Development in managing PPV projects and related ownership-level business functions. This role collaborates with the development team to plan and coordinate resources, delivering high-quality results for the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred in Real Estate, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 4–6 years of Real Estate Asset Management or Development Management experience.
• Experience developing and managing operational budgets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Self-motivated, independent worker with attention to detail and strong project management.

Responsibilities

• Performs contractual obligations of the project Developer for the Initial Development Period and Project Recapitalization Account-funded projects for the PPV entity.
• Implements development plans and development oversight.
• Manages multiple projects to completion within schedule and budgetary limitations.
• Prepares near-term PRA project implementation plans and schedules, and develops project proposals.
• Oversees PPV Development and Construction Management activities as directed by SVP of Development.
• Obtains project approvals through partnership and coordination with Government Partners.
• Supervises on-site Development and coordinates with Asset Management associates.
• Reviews consultants’ work product for compliance with project requirements.
• Develops preliminary project schedules and conducts cost analysis; coordinates reviews and bids.
• Manages site and quality control inspections.
• Monitors regulatory changes affecting operations and ensures compliance.
• Leads team to stimulate growth and expand opportunities.
• Performs research and provides professional opinions for special projects.
