Job summary

Shine Associates, LLC seeks a Vice President, Acquisitions to lead deal origination, underwriting, and execution across multiple real estate sectors. You will work with senior team members on sourcing, due diligence, and closing processes, driving investment performance and strategy.

Based in Boston, MA, the role requires travel and strong financial modeling, ARGUS Excel proficiency, and excellent communication with partners and lenders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in real estate, finance or accounting.
• Approximately 5–10 years of related post-undergraduate experience preferred.
• Advanced financial analysis and modeling using Excel and Argus; proficient with Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with senior acquisition personnel on due diligence, market research, and investment committee materials.
• Understand underwriting and performance drivers across real estate sectors (industrial, hospitality, multifamily, retail, office).
• Create and evaluate Excel models and Argus files for underwriting opportunities and reporting to senior management.
• Lead all business aspects of a deal including joint venture and loan closings.
• Assist in preparing term sheets, presentation materials, and data for acquisitions and investments.
• Support data aggregation and market research across industry trends and relationships.
• Prepare financial reports focusing on variances to underwriting, valuation, and cash flows.
