Job summary

Shine Associates, LLC is seeking an Acquisitions Analyst for our client, based in Boston, MA. The role supports the Acquisitions team in preparing detailed economic analyses of industrial acquisition, joint venture, and development opportunities across target markets.

You will perform financial modeling in Argus and Excel, develop market projections, conduct due diligence, and assist in preparing investment committee memorandums and reports.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required with one to two years related work experience.
• Advanced modelling skills; expert-level proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CoStar, Argus and Yardi strongly preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong presentation and analytical skills.
• Organized and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly.
• General understanding of real estate and analysis of financial statements, leases and related documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and qualitative analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities via financial modeling, cash flow analysis and market analysis (Argus/Excel).
• Develop and maintain market trends and projections for target markets; identify and track potential acquisition opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence including lease analysis and market studies; arrange third party reports.
• Participate in various analytical projects for the Acquisitions team.
• Prepare investment committee memorandums and assist in presenting transactions to the committee.
• Assist in preparing reports to ownership and institutional partners as needed.
• Defend valuation conclusions and provide reasoning for criteria in internal discussions.
