Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor, Revenue Cycle Management to partner across Finance, Operations, and IT to optimize revenue cycle systems and data governance. This role focuses on improving reimbursement methodologies, ensuring accuracy, and driving financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive RCM experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in revenue cycle management or related field (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of medical coding, billing practices, and revenue cycle processes.
• Proficiency in revenue cycle software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work independently or in a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative oversight of revenue cycle practice management system configuration, optimization, governance, and ongoing operational effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for revenue cycle systems and support stakeholders while promoting data integrity.
• Lead complex system configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancements with IT and vendor partners.
• Continuously evaluate system performance and business processes to identify workflow optimizations.
• Oversee governance of insurance plan configurations ensuring alignment with payer contracts and reporting needs.
• Partner with stakeholders to maintain contract group structures and accurate revenue attribution.
• Analyze payer and performance data to identify opportunities for revenue improvement.
• Provide oversight of fee schedule administration and regulatory compliance.
• Manage review and validation of coding updates (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10).
• Own provider and location master data governance for scalability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Credentialing, and others to keep records synchronized.
