Job summary

Konecranes in Wisconsin seeks a Purchasing Agent to manage procurement for assigned commodities, source suppliers, and negotiate value and lead-times while ensuring quality. You will work with engineering and service groups, review quotes, and maintain ERP data in SAP. Reading blueprints is required, with 1–3 years of purchasing experience and a bachelor's degree preferred.

Travel up to 20% may be required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 5 Years working experience within a Procurement role is required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints is required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience and advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate component requirements to suppliers while ensuring conformance to product specs and quality programs.
• Source and negotiate favorable value and lead-times without compromising quality.
• Review major quotes and align with project and sales estimates to protect margins.
• Maintain ERP data at part, supplier, and PA levels for system integrity.
• Expedite or cancel on-order material and communicate results to the relevant groups.
• Write and document SAP workflows and general procedures for continuous improvement.
