Job summary

Goliath, an international toy and game manufacturer, seeks an experienced Purchasing Specialist to drive procurement for manufacturing operations. You will source MRO materials, negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and ensure materials are available to support production schedules.

The ideal candidate has hands-on purchasing experience in manufacturing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating supplier pricing and terms.
• Experience purchasing MRO materials and services for manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP and inventory systems; Fishbowl a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing for raw materials, components, packaging, MRO materials, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms, lead times, freight, and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive bids and supplier negotiations.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and qualify new suppliers as needed.
• Obtain quotes and evaluate based on total cost, quality, lead time, availability, and business needs.
• Support sourcing strategies for existing products, operations, and new launches.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues to minimize production disruptions.
