Job summary

LGS Technologies is seeking a Buyer to support production schedules by purchasing materials, supplies, and services. You will coordinate purchase orders, monitor material availability, and work with suppliers to resolve pricing, delivery, and quality issues.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to balance routine purchasing with changing production priorities. This is a manufacturing environment with emphasis on accuracy and timely material availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing, inventory control, or related administrative work preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, enter, issue, and maintain purchase orders for production materials and other purchases.
• Monitor open purchase orders, supplier acknowledgments, delivery dates and availability.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and discrepancies.
• Assist with purchasing decisions by evaluating cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist replenishment planning.
• Coordinate with Operations to identify material requirements and supply interruptions.
