Job summary

CFS in Shafter, CA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our operations team onsite. This role focuses on timely procurement, supplier management, and inventory control to support production across California’s Central Valley.

You will collaborate with vendors, warehouse staff, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials and supplies are available when needed, while optimizing costs and processes for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain experience.
• Strong understanding of vendor management, purchase order processing, and inventory practices.
• Experience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and purchasing software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery while ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, negotiate terms, and resolve supply issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities based on operational needs.
• Review purchasing data, delivery schedules, and supplier performance to support informed decision-making.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are available to support production goals.
