Job summary

GFF in City of Industry, California, seeks a Purchasing Specialist II to lead sourcing for materials, negotiate terms, and optimize supplier performance. You will drive cost savings, manage supplier relations, and analyze data to improve procurement efficiency while ensuring uninterrupted production.

You will collaborate with Operations, Production Planning, QA, R&D, Finance, and suppliers to implement continuous improvement, manage inventory, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, economics or related field.
• 5–8 years purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience in food manufacturing.
• Proven success negotiating supplier contracts and achieving cost savings.
• ERP and MRP experience (Ross, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, NetSuite).
• Strong analytical skills with purchasing, inventory, and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing for raw materials, packaging, and indirect procurement.
• Develop supplier negotiation strategies to meet annual cost-reduction goals.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, rebates, and supply agreements.
• Conduct supplier benchmarking, RFQ/RFPs, and supplier evaluations.
• Track cost savings, cost avoidance, and procurement metrics.
• Maintain data integrity in ERP and master data.
