Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Purchasing Manager - Manufacturing Support Services in Bellevue, WA. You will oversee sourcing strategies, supplier development, and cost reduction across multiple facilities to maximize value while maintaining quality and service.

The role requires 7+ years of purchasing/operations experience, a BS in Business Administration or Supply Chain, and strong negotiation, communication, and analytics. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years work experience in purchasing or related business areas.
• BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in Purchasing, Engineering, Operations or related area; automotive/industrial experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities for complex scenarios.
• Creative, quality minded, results-driven mindset.
• Able to communicate effectively and present to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify qualified sources of supply for Manufacturing Support Services (MSS).
• Develop and implement MSS strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and improve quality across facilities.
• Conduct supplier, plant, and divisional meetings and executive reviews.
• Negotiate, establish, and maintain MSAs and SOWs for MSS supply base.
• Drive continuous cost reduction through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
• Maintain supplier databases and sourcing records.
• Monitor supplier performance with metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Travel to PACCAR facilities and supplier locations for reviews and negotiations.
• Lead and support projects on strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost reduction objectives.
