PACCAR Inc. in Bellevue, WA invites a Senior Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize total cost. The role centers on managing PACCAR’s supplier relationships, performance, and global supply chain strategies, with travel to supplier sites as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in purchasing or supply chain, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. MBA and CPSM are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of purchasing, supply chain, or materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication with suppliers and management.
• Proven negotiator with favorable results.
• Understanding of contract terms and ability to draft supply contracts.
• Experience sourcing for new product development and supplier management.
• Advanced analysis of large data sets and presenting findings.
• Ability to lead cost savings projects and work with minimal supervision.
• Influence supplier behavior to PACCAR requirements.
• Knowledge of market research and sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies for cost management and supply chain performance.
• Investigate and implement new procurement and logistics opportunities.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure compliance to agreements.
• Issue RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and analyze responses to select suppliers.
• Collaborate with operations to develop global supplier strategies.
• Organize supplier performance meetings and cross-functional briefings.
• Travel to supplier locations to assess capabilities and resolve issues.
• Travel to PACCAR operating locations to support activities.
