PACCAR is seeking a Commodity Manager for New Program Sourcing in Renton, WA. The role focuses on delivering value through strategic supplier selection, cost reductions, and robust onboarding for new programs.

You will lead cross-functional teams, travel to supplier sites, and develop TCO models across PACCAR Parts and aftermarkets divisions. The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree in business, 5+ years in purchasing or supply chain, and strong negotiation/analytical skills, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related experience.
• Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management.
• Mandarin, Spanish, or Portuguese language skills preferred.
• Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills.
• Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic.
• Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Initiate market tests and facilitate supplier selection and qualification activities to achieve highest value and service for PACCAR
• Negotiate and manage onboarding of new program launches and related commercial requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery, warranty, and customer service.
• Identify areas of opportunity to consolidate and streamline purchasing-related activities being conducted at PACCAR divisions.
• Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in reduced product or service cost, improved supply chain performance, and enhanced product and service quality.
• Investigate and implement new technologies, strategic procurement strategies, and logistical opportunities.
• Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers and PACCAR personnel at all management levels.
• Travel to supplier locations and PACCAR facilities in order to evaluate capabilities, assess processes, investigate new opportunities, improve manufacturing efficiencies, and resolve chronic supply and quality issues.
