Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Area Sales Manager to proactively develop large project opportunities in public safety sectors across the Midwest/Central territory. You will lead cross-functional teams and engage with mayors, CIOs, and other officials to influence funding and guide strategic initiatives.

The role requires 4+ years of sales or related public safety experience or 8+ years in the field, plus strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, military and/or public safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall strategy, direction and execution for identified strategic projects.
• Lead internal teams on critical projects with clear direction and purpose.
• Build trusted relationships with key decision makers and influencers in public safety and government.
• Drive strategies with government customers for Motorola success in bid and sole source environments.
• Forecast project orders and revenue weekly, monthly and quarterly.
