Job summary

State of Nevada, Gov Finance Office within the CORE.NV ERP project team, seeks a Human Resources Officer to guide project requirements, scope, training, and cross-functional coordination with managers and stakeholders.

You will ensure alignment with state policies, assess personnel-related risks, perform data analysis, and support HR functions in production environment management from a public sector perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in personnel management, business administration, public administration or related area.
• Three years of progressively responsible professional personnel management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of professional and support staff in safety, payroll, recruitment and selection, training, and employee relations.
• Advise department management on complex employee issues requiring knowledge of HR practices, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare, justify, and manage operating budgets.
• Create, modify, and implement departmental HR policies, and centralize HR policies.
• Investigate employee grievances and advise management on conflict resolution.
• Perform related work as required.
