The Governors Finance Office is seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer for the CORE.NV ERP project team in Nevada. You will work under HR leadership to define requirements, organize and train project functions, and collaborate with managers and stakeholders to implement strategic HR solutions that boost efficiency while aligning with state guidelines.

This position falls under the Governors Finance Office within the CORE.NV ERP project team. With general direction within the HR work stream, the position is responsible for project requirements and scope, plans, organizes, trains and oversees project functions. Will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure project results adhere to NV state policies and procedures. Identify potential personnel-related risks that could impact project success and work with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies. Perform research, collect and analyze data report information. Performs research and testing to assist in the management of Production environment for CORE.NV from a human resources persspective.
Classes in this series serve as line department Human Resources officers. Incumbents in this series plan, organize, and administer a comprehensive Human Resources services program including employee relations, selection, classification coordination, position control, evaluation, training, payroll, and other related areas. Human Resources Officers supervise the work of other Human Resources staff.
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in personnel management, business administration, public administration or related area and three years of progressively responsible professional personnel management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Incumbents direct the work of professional and support staff in such areas as safety, payroll, recruitment and selection, training, and employee relations.
Incumbents advise department management on a wide variety of complex employee issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of Human Resources practices, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Incumbents prepare, justify, and manage operating budgets.
Incumbents create, modify, and implement departmental Human Resources policies and procedures, and implement centralized Human Resources departmental policies.
Incumbents investigate employee grievances and advise management on conflict resolution.
Incumbents perform related work as required.
