Qualifications

  • Seven+ years of professional experience in payroll, accounting, or finance, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, tax regulations, and public sector payroll requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to Central Payroll & Records staff, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee accurate, timely payroll processing across state agencies and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Lead internal and external audits related to payroll, financial reporting, and records management and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain integrity, accuracy, and security of employee records and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and interpret payroll, accounting, and records policies to ensure consistency across agencies.
