Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks an experienced Facility Underwriter for Automatic Property Facultative Reinsurance in the USA. You will underwrite new and renewal business, represent the company at industry events, and grow market share while ensuring profitability and excellent service to brokers and cedants.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in Property and Inland Marine preferred.
• Exposure to insurance industry with commercial property experience.
• Reinsurance experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of underwriting structures, rating methodologies and policy rating systems.
• Familiarity with insurance policy language and contract wording.
• Mathematical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite automatic property and inland marine agreements for new and renewal business.
• Maintain client/broker contacts and relationships.
• Participate in hybrid facultative audit process.
• Manage T&E expenditures with Division Manager.
• Develop annual personal P&D plan with leadership.
• Contribute to risk division training and onboarding.
• Underwrite terms, conditions and pricing from account information.
