Job summary

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in property and inland marine lines.
• Exposure to commercial property insurance is preferred.
• Prior reinsurance experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite automatic property and inland marine reinsurance agreements and renewals.
• Maintain client and broker relationships and market presence.
• Contribute to hybrid facultative audit processes.
• Coordinate with Division Manager on T&E expenditures.
• Develop annual personal P&D plans with leadership.
• Support risk division training and new hire onboarding.
• Establish pricing and terms for new business by reviewing account information.
• Ensure profitability by adhering to underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Communicate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims staff to optimize account profitability.
• Manage and service a book of business, participate in broker/client visits.
• Support strategic marketing and business development activities with brokers and cedants.
