Job summary

AXA XL in the United States seeks a Senior Underwriter - Facultative Automatic Facilities US to underwrite and service profitable automatic facility accounts, setting terms and pricing for new and renewal business. You will apply self-supported judgment on policy forms and coverage intents while driving market share and client service.

The role requires collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams, maintaining strong broker relationships, and contributing to growth

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in the Reinsurance industry, with emphasis on Programs, Facultative Facilities, or Commercial Property Treaty or Automatic Facility Reinsurance.
• Experience with policy/contract wording and actuarial pricing models.
• Detail oriented with elevated organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Math aptitude and strong PC skills.
• Property and Inland Marine underwriting background.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite automatic facility accounts to achieve profitability and targets.
• Set terms, conditions and pricing for new and renewal automatic facility business.
• Maintain audit-friendly processes by following underwriting guidelines and regulatory/rating rules.
• Manage AXA XL relationships and collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams.
• Service a book of business including endorsements and special acceptances for clients and brokers.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development activities, including travel as needed.
