Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Project Manager- Operations to implement, manage, and coordinate district projects. You will assess risk, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure timely, on-budget completion.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, stakeholder communication, and alignment with district goals. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, maintaining schedules, producing status reports, and supporting board item submissions for construction projects.

Qualifications

• 60 college hours or equivalent field experience.
• Experience in business, construction, engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of project management experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for the Facilities Department and district projects.
• Create and distribute agendas, document activities, quantify results, and communicate to stakeholders.
• Conduct data analysis and external research to support leadership decisions.
• Align project priorities with the District's core goals.
• Manage data collection for special projects and keep data up to date.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction-related projects; manage schedules and budgets.
• Oversee the work order system and coordinate board items.
