Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Project Manager for Bond Program Design & Construction. The role coordinates planning, design, construction, and closeout of bond-funded projects to deliver on time, within budget and to stakeholders’ expectations.

The position reports to the Officer of Bond Planning & Construction and requires an exempt level, with a starting salary of $73,970. The candidate will lead cross-functional teams and ensure district standards are met throughout project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent design/construction experience.
Two (2) years’ experience in the design/construction industry.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and solid written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned bond-funded capital projects from planning through closeout.
Track scopes, schedules, budgets, and procurement activities to support timely delivery.
Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and other partners to meet district standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with principals, administrators, and operations to align projects with school needs.
Assist in developing RFPs, bid packages, board items, and contracts per district policies.
