Job summary

Kansas City School District is seeking a Project Manager for the Bond Program Design & Construction to lead planning, design, construction, and closeout of bond-funded projects. You will ensure on-time delivery within budget, aligning with voter-approved requirements and district goals.

This role collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, school leaders, and district teams to maintain momentum, resolve issues, and report progress to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Planning, Construction, Engineering or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in the design/construction industry.
• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned bond-funded capital projects from planning through design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Track and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors and other partners to ensure standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with principals, administrators, and operations teams to align with school needs.
• Prepare RFPs, bid packages, board items, and contracts per policies.
