Job summary

Asplundh Brush Control, LLC seeks a Director of Projects to oversee the entire portfolio of construction projects from business development and estimation to financial closeout. This remote role coordinates with customers and site meetings as needed and reports to the General Manager.

The ideal candidate will drive strategic leadership across estimating and project management, manage client relationships, bids, and contracts, and ensure strong financial performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, estimating, project management or construction in the power or pipeline industry.
• Proven strategic leadership experience overseeing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for new work generation and client acquisition; oversee objectives and resource allocation for the project management and estimating team.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as primary contact for key client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and participating in meetings and presentations.
• Bidding & Preconstruction Oversight: Lead estimating to ensure accurate cost estimates, bid packages, and contract compliance; review all bids and proposals.
• Project Controls & Financial Management: Own project financials across the portfolio, including pricing, costs, margins, and budgeting; manage reporting and invoicing.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and manage project managers, estimators, and field engineers; foster collaboration and accountability.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Identify risks during planning and develop mitigation plans; ensure permits, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Process Improvement: Analyze metrics to identify improvements and cost savings for future projects.
