Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a Project Manager II to lead complex advancement initiatives, maintain and update procedure manuals, manage data, and provide overall operational support for the University Advancement team.

Reporting to the Advancement Director, the role will oversee project plans, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage vendors, and drive efficiency across the unit while ensuring timely reports and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Experience developing and improving business processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of budgeting and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Create a project plan, monitor progress, and identify risks and issues.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and collaborate with project staff to meet targets and milestones.
• Manage outside contractors to ensure integration and satisfactory service standards.
• Estimate project costs, resources, and time; monitor activities and negotiate resources.
• Prepare regular reports to communicate project status within and beyond the project team.
