Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks a Project Manager II to lead advancement initiatives, plan projects, and optimize workflows. You will coordinate with the Advancement Director and manage external contractors to ensure high-quality results and timely delivery.

You will also help improve business processes, prepare progress reports, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a higher education setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with planning, tracking progress and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Create a project plan, monitor progress, and identify risks and issues.
  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and collaborate with staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Manage activities of outside contractors to ensure integration and satisfactory service levels.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time for project phases and monitor usage; negotiate for resources as needed.
  • Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders inside and beyond the project team.

Represents the unit to internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of advancement efforts. In conjunction with the Advancement Director leads special projects, implements and takes on special tasks as assigned.\*\*Full position description is available upon request. \*\*## **Key Job Responsibilities:*** Creates a project plan, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates risks and issues* Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet project targets and milestones* Manages the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service* Facilitates the estimation of project costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitors activities, negotiates for resources, and assigns tasks to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met* Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team## **Department:**The mission of the UWSP University Advancement Department is to strengthen relationships with university stakeholders and manage engagement by telling the UWSP Story and fundraising activities to secure resources and support for the university’s mission and vision.University Advancement works to increase the resources available to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point by generating philanthropic interests and volunteer support.Advancement oversees activities of the UWSP Alumni Association, Major Gift Officers, development and the UWSP Foundation.## **Compensation & Benefits:**The Project Manager is a full-time, salaried, exempt, annual (12-month), academic staff position.Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $75,610 - $80,000 commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications.
