Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Director for the Industrial Prime MEP division in Seattle to provide strategic leadership of large, complex projects from planning to completion. You will align client expectations, financial objectives, and organizational goals while coordinating across departments and guiding project teams.

Responsibilities include managing scope, schedule, budgets, and risk; serving as the customer liaison; and shaping preconstruction efforts with field and business managers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM or engineering required.
• 10–12 years of project management experience in construction.
• 5 years of team leadership.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, equipment selection procedures, and good design practices.
• Knowledge of construction financial programs and software.
• Advanced estimating skills preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all project activities, functions, and resources from initiation to closeout.
• Define project assignments for team members and ensure clarity of responsibilities and accountabilities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer throughout project implementation.
• All company policies and procedures compliance and alignment with goals.
• Exercise cross-functional decision making across departments including sales, estimating, accounting and purchasing.
• Mitigate and report on project risk and manage change with stakeholders.
