Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Manager - Prime MEP in Chicago, IL to lead project strategy, scheduling, and cost control for complex mechanical projects. You will coordinate with General Contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery with high client satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent) and at least five years of PM/engineering/construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of PM/engineering/construction experience.
• Experience with scheduling and cost control.
• Experience with General Contractor or major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops project goals, strategies, and objectives for safe, on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
• Maintains project plans, schedules, and scopes of work; defines responsibilities for team members.
• Manages communication with General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Owner and stakeholders.
• Reviews contracts, drawings, specs and resources to answer questions promptly.
• Assesses site safety and ensures compliance for subcontractors and onsite personnel.
• Controls project costs, tracks change orders, and monitors financial performance.
