Job summary

1898 & Co. seeks a Project Delivery Manager in California to lead an execution team within Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis and/or Utility Investment Planning.

You will guide project delivery, staff development, and alignment with Burns & McDonnell goals for a diverse client base including utilities and ISOs/RTOs. As a leader, you will oversee staffing, ensure project QA/QC, and collaborate with managing directors to win new work and improve grid solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business or related field with 5 years of related experience.
• Leadership/management experience is preferable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change.
• Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
• Must be expert in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
• Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations, monthly one-on-ones, and provide clear instruction and guidance to direct reports.

• Interpret and communicate organizational goals and policies to staff.
