Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's California team is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to lead an experienced consultant and analyst group within Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis and Utility Investment Planning. You will drive project excellence, staff development, and alignment with company goals.

You'll guide staffing, QA/QC, and collaboration with directors to secure new work and deliver high-quality consulting services to utility clients across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change.
• Strong project management skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient staffing.
• Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to direct reports.
• Promote Burns & McDonnell culture, values, and mission.
• Interpret and communicate organizational goals to staff.
• Provide expert guidance for consulting engagements in transmission and distribution planning and power systems analysis.
• Ensure staffing levels and billable targets meet project requirements.
• Coordinate workload and communicate staffing needs to business line leads.
• Lead QA/QC efforts and ensure safety compliance.
• Support business development and secure new work for the team.
