Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a cost controller to manage the overall cost system, maintain project budgets, and forecast financials for multiple projects across Granite and its subsidiaries. You will work with accounting and project teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely data delivery.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, tracking expenditure against budgets, and maintaining SOPs. A bachelor’s degree in business and 5–10 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.
• 5–10 years’ experience in a related position.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Access.
• JD Edwards and One World experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction industry.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
• Self-starter and able to work with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cost system per policy and report on cost and schedule for projects.
• Administer job master data and project budgets.
• Track project costs, forecasts, and changes against budgets.
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
• Integrate cost and schedule data with accounting systems.
