Job summary

FH Construction Group is seeking a cost accountant to manage all aspects of job cost accounting for assigned projects, including setup, cost tracking, and forecasting and closeout.

You will partner with Field Operations to ensure budgets, costs, and commitments reflect real-time project performance, and prepare monthly cost reports, WIP schedules, communicating trends and risks to leadership. Proficiency in Excel, Sage 100C, GC Pay, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Experience in accounting with job cost or project-based financials in construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction project financials including job costing, forecasting, WIP, billing, commitments, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of job cost accounting for assigned projects including setup, cost tracking, forecasting and closeout.
• Collaborate with Field Operations to ensure budgets, costs, and commitments reflect real-time performance.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports, projections, and WIP schedules and communicate trends, risks, and actions to leadership.
