Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation seeks an experienced Sr Program Planning Scheduling & Control Analyst to lead planning and scheduling for complex space programs. You will prepare budgets, analyze funding profiles, and ensure adherence to government cost controls while guiding teams to success.

The role emphasizes mentorship, accurate expenditure tracking, and alignment with organizational goals. Strong Excel, governance knowledge, and DoD contracting familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience)
  • Typically 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with management consulting, data analytics, finance, or other quantitative/analytical roles in business, program, or operations management
  • Experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Schedule Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, or Procurement Financial Analysis
  • Experience collecting data from several sources, performing analysis, and communicating data
  • Experience with advanced features in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc.)
  • Strong business analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting, and/or public auditing policies, labor rate composition

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and scheduling efforts for complex programs and projects
  • Perform detailed analyses and prepare comprehensive reports to ensure programs stay within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work
  • Conduct financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
  • Ensure adequate funding is available by maintaining records of expenditures and directing contractual changes into control systems
  • Maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines to support program success
  • Lead and mentor team members to foster professional growth and effective execution
