Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in Germantown, MD, is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will align teams, manage priorities and risks, and deliver measurable results on contract requirements.

The role requires strong program management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with oversight of multiple programs from kickoff through completion, ensuring cost, schedule and performance goals are met.

Qualifications

• 7+ years relevant program management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or Business degree may be preferred.
• Knowledge of program management tools and procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience across the program lifecycle including proposals, requirements, risk mgmt.
• Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting.
• Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and supply chain.
• Ability to manage manpower planning, scheduling and budget control.
• PM certification (PMP/DAU) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bid and proposal activities for existing customers.
• Represent program management at internal/external reviews and meetings.
• Prepare for and participate in contract negotiations; ensure regulatory guidance.
• Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel and services.
• Identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks throughout the program life cycle.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Operations.
• Oversee delivery of products and services per contract requirements.
• Monitor schedule, cost, and performance to meet goals.
• Develop corrective action plans for deviations as needed.
